And what channels will you get off of this antenna? Im just ready cancel time warner because their equipment is terrible and they just insist on increasing their prices constantly. And will that antenna work on all tv's? I have one that is 15 years old (not a flat screen) and a flat screen.

Answer
What you are wanting to do is switch over to broadcast television.

Each area, or "Market" is different - you'll have to visit a web site such as tvguide.com to find out what is broadcast in your area. Typically it will be the major networks plus extra channels that vary by market.

The antenna you need is cheap to purchase - $10 at Walmart buys one that works for most locations. However there is a small catch... your 15 year old set won't tune in anything that is broadcast today as we have since switched over to a new high quality type of broadcasting that provides a MUCH better picture. You either need a set-top box (Walmart - $40) or purchase a newer used CRT set that has the "SDTV" logo on it, which should cost less than $40.

As for your flat screen set, hard to say for sure. Sets built after 2006 typically tune the new channels, and the date is on the back of the set. You can also look for the "Dolby Digital" logo and word on the front of the set. If this set is older than that - you'll need a set top box for it as well. You won't get a good picture with the $40 area box, you will be best served with a true HDTV set top box, which cost closer to $80 as a starting point.

Bright side is, once you upgrade as needed - there will not be a monthly bill.

How do I get fuzzy analog channels to come in clear?

Chris

I have an HDTV with a built in tuner. I plugged a coaxial cable from my wall to my TV searched for channels. It found a bunch of digital channels that are clear, and it found like 60 analog channels that come in fuzzy. Is there anyway to get the fuzzy channels to come in clear? Any box I can use or something?

Answer
use a directive antenna......install in the line of sight of tv tower .......if there is a building on the path, risen its height or relocate. use high quality cable.

I'm looking for something with the newest technology, blu-ray compatible, and all that good stuff. Size about 50 inches, maybe more. What would be the best thing to buy and how much would it cost?

Answer
In November issue of the magazine it named the Panasonic Plasma tv model VT as the best tv for 2010. You can purchased the lower model G20 50" which is a THX certified tv (higher video standard by Lucas film industry) for under $1,100. This model is only available at Best Buy and the G25 at Fry's Electronic. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on tvs, along with the pro and con of each technology. You will also notice that Panasonic has more plasma tv being recommended than any manufacturer. Hope this will help you out.

Could someone give a brief overview of the differences between LED and HDTV? (I am thinking of purchasing something around 40 inches.)
Also, my purchase would not have to coincide with a Superbowl party. Do you think that prices would be better before or after the game? Or is there a better time of year to purchase a new televsion as new models are introduced?

Answer
There are 3 type of HDTV which popular in market now LCD HDTV, Plasma HDTV and LED HDTV.

Plasma uses gas plasma cells charged by precise electrical voltages to create a picture.

LCD screens (liquid crystal display) are in layman's terms sandwiches made up of liquid crystal pushed in the space between two glass plates. Images are created by varying the amount of electrical charge applied to the crystals

LED-backlit LCD television or LED TV is an LCD TV that uses LED backlighting rather than fluorescent lights used in traditional LCD televisions

Each technology have their pro & con, here are pro & con for your decision

Pros of Plasma
- Better contrast ratio
- better ability to render deep blacks, more color depth,
- better motion tracking (response time)
- more availability in very large screen sizes.

Cons of Plasma
- more susceptible to burn-in (although this is not as much of a factor now, due to technology improvements in the past few years)
- more heat generation (as well as more power consumption)
- screen glare in brightly lit rooms
- heavier weight, and more delicate to ship.
Good brand that I would recommend for Plasma is Panasonic or Samsung
http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26redirect%3Dtrue%26ref_%3Dsr%255Fnr%255Fp%255Fn%255Fsize%255Fbrowse-bin%255F3%26bbn%3D979929011%26qid%3D1264987075%26rnid%3D1232878011%26rh%3Dn%253A172282%252Cn%253A%2521493964%252Cn%253A1266092011%252Cn%253A172659%252Cn%253A979929011%252Cp%255Fn%255Ffeature%255Fthree%255Fbrowse-bin%253A724228011%252Cp%255Fn%255Fsize%255Fbrowse-bin%253A1232882011&tag=computer0bd-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957

Pros of LCD
- LCD television advantages include no burn-in susceptibility
- cooler running
- less screen glare, more functional at high altitudes
- longer display life (although improvements are being made in Plasma screen life)
- looks better in brightly lit rooms
- less power consumption than Plasma.
Cons of LCD
- Lower contrast ratio
- not as good rendering deep blacks
- not as good at tracking motion (although this is improving, especially with the implementation of 120Hz refresh rates (and some now offer 240Hz) on higher-end models).
Good brand for LCD that I would recommend is Samsung or Sony

Pros & Cons of LED is almost same as LCD but LED come with better contrast ratio, better picture quality , super slim and 40% less power consumption but higher price

There are good deals before Superbowl party and another good time is around March which there will be new model out and price of old model will drop down.

Does plasma still offer the best picture quality?

best picture quality led hdtv image

edwnc

Ok, so LED TV is all the rage these days, LCD is slowly improving, and DLP...well it's still DLP.

From what I've heard, despite the improvements other TV technologies have made, Plasma still offers the best picture quality (even over LED). Is this true? I'm looking to buy an HDTV and would like to hear from all of you...which type of HDTV offers the best picture quality?

Answer
Yes, Plasma still has the best picture quality!

The only advantage it's closest competitor has(LED TV) is in energy consumption! LED LCD TVs use up to 50% less energy then standard LCD or Plasma TVs! But what's the point of saving money on energy when you have to pay so much more for the TV? It's negating the energy savings!

Otherwise...Plasma TVs still have better "native" contrast ratios. Up to 5,000,000:1 in some 2010 models! They also have the fastest response times(.001ms) and fastest refresh rates(600hz). Making them the best at producing the sharpest and smoothest motion possible. Perfect for fast motion content like sports, movies and gaming!

The reason i used "native" contrast ratio rather then "dynamic" is because dynamic is a useless number! The definition of Dynamic contrast ratio is the measurement of a TVs ability to render it's blackest black and whitest white in a non-specified amount of time or frames. I don't like going by a TV's dynamic contrast ratio because this number is not controlled by any other source other then the manufacturer of the TV. So basically the manufacturer can use any or all means necessary to get this number! There's no way to prove that the TV can actually obtain this number!

Native' contrast ratio on the other hand is considerably more accurate and a better number to go by if you want to get an idea of the TV's picture quality capabilities! Native contrast ratio is the measurement of a TVs ability to render it's blackest black and whitest white on a single frame.

And ONLY plasma's can obtain this high of a native contrast ratio. This is because of each one of their pixels can be turned on or off! Creating a wider field of contrast. LCD TVs cannot accomplish this do to the backlight sources. Even the smallest backlight source(LED) covers an area of tens or hundreds of pixels! Rendering their native contrast ratios much lower.

Go with a Panasonic Plasma TV and you will not be dissappointed! Happy hunting!

What's best for gaming: plasma, lcd, or backlit led?

Matt

I typically play shooters, so a lot of stuff happens on screen. I also play on-line (HD has lag; which type would have the fastest refresh rate?)

Is there a significant difference in picture quality between the three?

Also, which would be best to watch football and basketball games on?

Answer
LED tvs are best for gaming . ya they three have little difference in resolution.

i was googling and found Samsung UN32C6500 32-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV for you which really good and in budget also.

*10W x 2 audio output
*Wide Color Enhancer Plus
*LED HDTV also makes it easy to be green

The Young and the Restless (often abbreviated as Y&R) is an American television soap opera created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell for CBS. The show is set in a fictional Wisconsin town called Genoa City, which is unlike and unrelated to the real life village of the same name, Genoa City, Wisconsin.[1] First broadcast on March 26, 1973, The Young and the Restless was originally broadcast as half-hour episodes, five times a week.[2][3] It expanded to one hour episodes on February 4, 1980.[4] In 2006, the series began airing encore episodes weeknights on SOAPnet.[5] The series is also syndicated internationally.[6]

The Young and the Restless originally focused on two core families: the wealthy Brooks family and the working class Foster family.[2] After a series of recasts and departures, in the early 1980s all the original characters except Jill Foster Abbott were written out. Bell replaced them with the new core families, the Abbotts and the Williams.[2] Over the years, other families such as the Newmans, Winters and the Baldwin-Fishers were introduced.[7][8] Despite these changes, one storyline that has endured through almost the show's entire run is the feud between Jill Foster Abbott and Katherine Chancellor, the longest rivalries on any American soap opera.[9][10]

Since its debut, The Young and the Restless has won seven Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series. It is also currently the highest-rated daytime drama on American television. As of 2008, it has appeared at the top of the weekly Nielsen ratings in that category for more than 1,000 weeks since 1988.[11] The series, along with NBC's Days of our Lives (both are from Sony Pictures Television), has been renewed through 2013 with optional 2014.

Buying a PS3 Questions?

D3ZZY

2morrow is my Bday and I'm not sure if I should get a PS3. I have some ?s:

a.)I only have a 16-inch SDTV. The text and stuff isn't super small and unreadable is it?
b.)Easy to set up?
c.)I most likely won't have enough to buy a game. Should I still get it?
d.)Slims are reliable right? No hardware failure?
e.) PS4 ain't coming around anytime soon right? I don't wanna get a PS3 and then a year later PS4 comes out.

Sorry for so many questions.
Already have MW2 on my 360. I really just want a PS3 for Killzone 2 and some other exclusives.

Answer
a) On the main menu, the XMB, the text should be fine. But ALL games are made in HD first, and SD is usually an afterthought. So while small text will be fine an an HDTV, it will be almost unreadable on an SDTV. My friend who has an sdtv always complains about not being able to read server lists, stats, and other text in most games.
b) The other people said stuff like "read the manual" or "takes a while" but all you do is plug in the power and a/v cords and turn it on. Can't get any simpler than that.
c) Theres not much point in buying it unless you buy it with a game. But if you can't get a game with it, heres some things you could do: browse the internet, check out Home, watch youtube videos, and download game demos from the playstation store.
e) Best estimates place the ps4 at coming out sometime around 2013.

Is there one HDTV Converter Box better than all others? What features does one need to be aware of?

Sunshine

A friend in Centralia, Illinois area (southern) just told me she got her first converter box and received 4 clear PBS stations and some fuzzy local ones--prior to that she had no reception beyond 2 very fuzzy channels w/rabbit ears. A friend of her's suggested she put up an external antenna to get even better reception.

Answer
The Consumer Reports article referenced by theone78 is a good reference, but it doesn't really seem to address tuner sensitivity, and instead concentrates on picture quality. That's an OK criteria for use in strong reception areas, but if you're in a remote area, having the best tuner is critical. From articles and testimonials I've seen, the Zenith and Insignia converter boxes seem to have exceptionally good tuners.

But you also need a good antenna, preferably a roof-mounted on, or at least an attic one. Rabbit ears just won't cut it for distant reception with digital TV.

If we have the money, which we do.
It is a Hitachi UltraVision 55" Rear-Projection LCD HDTV and the reviews seem good plus 0% financing til 2010.
Am I an idiot for not getting this TV since we want an HDTV?

Answer
I'm a big Hitachi fan and own one myself, a 51 inch CRT RPTV. I looked at the LCD set myself, but upon extensive research went the 'Old School' route with the CRT for a multitude of reasons, the first being rather poor reviews on the picture quality of the LCD.

It was this which got me to thinking as the ONLY benefit of LCD over a CRT based set is it's ability to be hung on a wall. But when you take that LCD and house it in a RPTV you give up it's only advatage, that being space saving.

Now when you look at it terms of picture quality there's simply no comparison as CRT is still the recognized 'King of the Hill' by most experts in the field, it's true balcks, natural color representation and overall realistic diplay far and above that offered by either Plasma or LCD.

OK, so it doesn't seem as sexy right? How can this 'Old Tech' stand up to the latest and greatest? Well, both Sony and Mitsubishi have ceased any and all R+D in the field of Plasma and will no longer produce sets utilizing this technology. Hmmm, must be a reason don't you think?

And let's examine the hidden cost of LCD, be it flat panal or RPTV as well as DLP. These require what is known as an Arc Lamp to provide the backlighting for a picture to be seen and the do an admorable job of this...for about two years! Then, as your picture dims you consult your manual which will tell you a bulb change is in order. "OK, no problem" you say to yourself as you dial up the local repair shop, only to have your jaw drop when you find the replacement will set you back anywhere from $200-$300 smackers!

Of course you won't here this from your helpful sales person down at Circuit City or Best Buy and the factories are as tight lipped as a Nun at a Porn convention and who can blame them. They'll not sell sets if this becomes public knowledge, and their plan is that when these sets start to fail they'll be right there with the latest tech to hook them up again. Yup, planned obsolecence at it's finest. Don't worry, SED is due out sometime in 2008 to fill the bill and by 2010 it may even be affordable, just in time to replace all those bum Plasma and LCD sets.

In effect it was thst CRT sets lasted so long that was there undoing, most giving trouble free service day in and day out for 10-15 years. Believe me, it wasn't performance which signed their death warrant.

Now that being said I'm going to recommend you take a step back and look at this set. It's the Hitachi f59 series CRT RPTV, available in 51, 57 and 65 inch models. The 51 is usually $799, the 57 goes $999 on sale and the 65 about $1200. But I've seen the 65 as low as $1000 on sale and I picked up the 51 for $699 shipped so it pays to watch for the right sale.

These babies have a native resolution of 1080i and are the best bang for your buck available today, bar none. No bulbs to worry about and a picture that is unriveled below the $3000 mark, and even then it's still a level playing field. Believe me, I did my home work and searched far and wide before plunking down my hard earned dollars and I'm glad I did. The folks who live and breath TV swear by these and with good reason though you'd be hard pressed to believe it by looking at a show room model. It's when you get it home and tweek the settings that the magic happens, then you've got a set that will put anything to shame.

Heck, you can email me for the optimal settings if you do purchase one, settings derived using light and color meters, calibration disks and years of eyes on experience to achieve them. There's a wealth of info to be had over on the AVS Forum on these beauties, sort of like having a tech on call. In fact one of the regular contributers is an ISF Calibration Tech, a guy who makes his living helping folks achieve perfection on their home theater systems.

Alright, the answer WAS a bit long winded but I'd hate for you to make a poor decision due to lack of proper info. Good luckand happy viewing, regardless of what you ultimatly decide to purchase.

Is the 2 Year Protection Plan from Best Buy a ripoff?

Q. Just recently bought a Dynex led hdtv for my girlfriend's birthday. But i heard that dynex tvs aren't reliable and are more prone to breaking. Should I go back to the store and get a 2 year protection plan for it? I don't have enough money to buy a more expensive tv so that's not an option for me.

Answer
All three answers are way off base. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Dynex%26%23153%3B+-+55%22+Class+/+LCD+/+1080p+/+120Hz+/+HDTV/1437844.p?id=1218259335717&skuId=1437844 to start. Look at the reviews. Dynex breaks no more or less than Sony, Samsung, Panasonic. I bought this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Dynex%26%23153%3B+-+46%22+Class+/+1080p+/+60Hz+/+LCD+HDTV/9605116.p;jsessionid=5357B88A1FCCC2EAD7A2A0ACCEE9DDDA.bbolsp-app03-23?id=1218131141989&skuId=9605116 I guess over 200 people each case are what? Idiots? Go ahead and spend the extra money to get a name brand say an extra $500. And? Extended warranty? Oh hell yes. On any brand not just because it's a Dynex. A 32" CRT set was $700-$1200. A 32" LDC $350. Something had to give, quality. If you get 5-7 years, any set, you did good. My 46" has a $1200 Samsung LCD panel. I paid $500 for the set. If the panel breaks am I going to spend $1200? No. Let the extended warranty pay for it. To the other 3 answers, I guess car insurance is a joke too? Protect your investment.

Make sure you are tuned to an HDTV station..?? Are you on a cable box with HD?? Satellite?? ON my cable box, the normal channel 4 is like the old analog.. Channel 404 is in HD.. (Different in other areas.) Check with your cable provider. I also like to run the Sharpness in the 'Picture' options rather high. Part of your Menu settings... Most sets are pretty well set up when sold in a default condition..

What brand of HDTV has the best picture quality and a decent sound quality?

Alex

I want good picture quality and decent sound from the on board speakers. 32 inch to 36 inch. I don't need prices but that would help. I WILL be going to best buy to buy it, and they have a bunch of great deals going on for 32 inch HDTV's. I was thinking samsung. Any complaints?

Answer
Samsung led tv will be best picture in 32" but is also the most pricey.

How do I change audio setting on Samsung LCD to direct sound through Digital Optical cable to surround sound?

what is the best quality hdtv image

Matt

I have HDMI running from Surround sound to HDTV. I have Digital Optical Cable running from HDTV to Surround sound. How do I direct the TV to use the optical cable for sound instead of HDMI. The main goal is to have best sound quality for HDTV, HD Set-top Cable Box, and surround sound system. Thanks to any answers!

Answer
Run the optical cable from the TV digital audio output to the surround sound digital input.

Select the optical input on the surround sound system (can't tell you exactly how without knowing the make/model), and you'll get great audio from whatever you're watching on TV.

Do those DVD upconverters really work on HD TV's at improving the picture quality?

Mike D

i just got those lord of the rings extended DVD's but they probably wont look like a bluray quality on my HDTV. however i went to walmart and saw they have these cheap $40 dvd upconverters that are supposed to make dvd's look near-HD. but does anyone know just how well these work? would it really improve the picture quality for a HDTV? has anyone here tried this out?

Answer
no. your good quality HDTV has built in capability to convert standard DVD output to match the native resolution of its screen. makers of HDTV sets know that their customers want to watch DVD movies, so they design a very good converter into the set. using an external scan converter may actually reduce the quality of the visual presentation.

What is the best HDTV around 26 or 27 inches?

Erik

I want an HDTV around 26 or 27 inches, and i was told that Samsung makes the best quality HDTV. What do you guys think without going over a budget of 700 dollars.?

Answer
Samsung - WRONG! It has a good picture, granted, but it doesn't even come close to the best in reliability. For the best, go Sony! But I don't think you'll be able to meet your budget.

If you can go $749, look at the Panasonic HDTV LCD TC-26LX70 on sale at Circuit City - good price and great LCD. If you have to keep it under $700, go Toshiba for the best and most reliable LCD in that price! Stay away from the "no-names" like Vizio, Olevia, Ilo, Insignia, and Maxent, as well as RCA, Philips/Magnavox, and Polaroid.

Can you always tell whether the TV is analog or digital just by the image quality?

The image quality of an analog tv can sometimes be poor.

Is Denmark the first country to mandate the change from analog TV to digital transition? I mean, before US mandated the change.

Answer
Not really. For example, on a large screen LCD HDTV, an analog signal won't look as good as it does on a smaller screen analog TV. On the other hand, an over-the-air digital channel in the U.S., received via a set top converter on an old analog TV, can look a lot better than the former analog signal from the same channel.

If you're unsure about a set or monitor and can't figure it out from the user's guide, search the make and model in Google. A hit on several different sites, Amazon in particular, will give you the set's specs.

What type of picture quality do you get if you hook a coax cable to an HD TV?

Bri

What type of picture quality do you get if you hook a coax cable to an HD TV? I know a cable box gives you optimal picture quality. It's an xmas idea for my grandmother, she has an ancient TV and thought this may be better than what she has now. She doesn't have a cable box and won't want to spend the monthly charges for the equipment. Is the picture quality better than an old school tube tv?

Answer
It depends. HDTVs in the U.S. all come with at least two tuners, one for over-the-air digital and one for old-style analog. If your new TV has only those two tuners and you connect it to basic cable service (no box), you can expect the cable channels to look worse than on the old TV. The reason is an HDTV is a digital receiver, and it must compromise an analog signal in order to display it.

Now, most HDTVs come with an optional 3rd tuner, QAM. That's for unencrypted digital channels on the cable, and most cable systems have them. Some of those channels will be in HD and will look as good as any HD source. QAM channels are mainly the local broadcast stations.

Caveat: the days of unencrypted digital channels on cable in the U.S. are numbered. In fact, the point will eventually be reached where there are no channels at all that don't require some type of set top box. The FCC is lifting some of those requirements at the end of 2012, so anyone investing in something related to basic cable today needs to plan ahead for the eventual requirement to upgrade to a box.

Alex

I purchased a 50" GT50 HDTV a few days ago and I absolutely LOVE it! The picture is amazing. I was playing around with the picture modes though and i noticed one called "THX Cinema". How is this different from the regular "Cinema" mode? When i switch between them all that's obvious is that the picture looks a bit smaller but more complete (like it zooms out a tiny bit). Of course I'm completely ignorant to all this technical stuff so what do I know. Can anyone explain this to me? I the THX mode optimal for movies and such?

Answer
For a given manufacturer’s compliant display, THX [picture] modes are intended to provide a set of simple preset picture settings that conform to THX’s carefully chosen criteria for video image quality. Ideally the preset THX picture settings should provide the most natural or accurate video image quality short of a professional video display “calibration.” In reality, for the more demanding perfectionist it is relatively easy to surpass the image quality performance offered by the preset THX picture modes on the 2012 Panasonic plasma display panels by using the Custom picture mode along with proper display calibration software and hardware.

In addition:

THX picture modes (according to Panasonic GT50 series eHELP, page 25):

‘Precisely reproduces the original quality of the image without any revision.’

‘Recommended for playback of THX disc[s] (disc[s] with “THX” logo.) THX mode is used to mirror the picture settings used by professional filmmakers, faithfully reproducing the image quality of THX Certified movies. (THX Certified movies have the “THX” logo on a disc.)’

What is the best HDTV of 2012 so far?

VtotheGizz

Please clarify in each HDTV's respective category.

-Plasma TV
-LED TV
-LCD TV
-Smart TV
-TVs to come
-Best Design for a TV (Panel type is irrelevant)

Please provide detailed explanations.

Answer
I bought my LG 47 inch cinema 3D smart TV some weeks back. For me, I was considering attributes like price, design, picture quality and accurate colour to give the best credit for my TV. I guess other people may have a different opinion and may select a tv that may be different from mind but I prefer passive sets period.

best 37 inch hdtv 2013 image

Ryan

I am getting around 200 in back taxes. and I am trying to decide on what I should spend it on. Theres only one thing I NEED but the other things I WANT.

Things I need:
New tires for my truck - price- 508.19

Things I want:
PS3
3DS
HD TV- Picture on Tv now is going out (Keeps flickering)
HD PVR (To record video of gaming and upload them on youtube.)

I need help deciding. And dont just say tires cause my tires aint bad. They just need replaced sooner than later

Thank in advanced

Answer
Since you have a bad i'd say buy a new TV. There are some cheap ones for around 200-300 dollars. There about 32-37 inches i think. Don't buy a PS3 just yet because the PS4 is coming this Holiday 2013. I'm pretty sure that Sony will drop the price of PS3 if you still want it. On black Friday Sony comes with bundles that much cheaper than now so don't get PS3 now. Considering that HDTVs are really cheap now you can buy that now. For HD PVR you will not need that because most games now have a theater mode where you can save that gameplay, use a usb flash drive to transfer the gameplay to your computer then upload.

Answer
Looks good to me. Basically a computer monitor with a built in TV. Good for bedrooms, or small apartments. It's a little expensive for something with a contrast ratio of 160000. But, buy it, try it, and if you don't like it, return it.

How much would it cost to repair a Sony TV?

Its a 42in LCD Sony HDTV Model KDF-E42A10. While it was being moved it got a little wet (very little). Now it has lines running across the screen..several about 40-50 lines. Some of the lines go away after it runs for about 30-45 mins. I'm pretty good with electronics but not repairs, I'm thinking about getting it repaired by a professional but I want to know how much it could possibly cost?

Any ballparks are greatly appreciated, thanks.

Answer
Forget trying to get your tv repaired. It will cost more money than just buying a new tv. The labor cost is very high. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on tv along with the pro and con of each technology. Sony quality have dropped and they are not very dependable at all. I purchased a Sony 34" CRT tv, the first HD tv in the marker for $6,400 and it only lasted 2 years. Also purchased 2 Sony DVD players model 7000 and 7700 both over $1,000 each when DVD first came out and they only lasted 2 years. I have a Pioneer Elite DVD player and it is over 6 years old and still running strong same goes for my Panasonic Blu Ray disc player model BD-10 the first generation and it is still running strong and over 300 blu ray disc played on it. I use Panasonic Plasma tv and a projector for my home theater and have had no problems. Hope this will help you out.
