1.) How can one display an image that has a greater resolution than the screen ?

3.) How does the megapixel of the digital camera relate to the image resolution and image quality ? 4.) There's a new mobile from nokia coming with a 41mp camera , what would the screen resolution be of the photos taken from that camera ? Could one view it on a full hd screen ?

1) you can use image software to resize or crop the image. Resize means shrinking the whole picture to smaller dimensions. Crop means to trim the outer parts that are not important.
Sometimes a resize will be to another proportion (width to height). This might distort the image.
2) Resolution is the level of fine details. The most common resolution for computer screens is 0.25mm or about 100 pixels (picture elements) to the inch. TV screen resolution depends upon the broadcast system (SD or HD) and the size of the screen. A 32 inch HDTV might have smaller pixels and more to the inch than a 70 inch HDTV, even though both are 1080p or 720p rating for HDTV.
3) More megapixels means the image has more elements to its width and height. It might have 2500x1800 at its highest resolution. That will fill up the camera's memory with only a few pictures. Or it could be taking more pictures at much lower resolution (1024x768). It is the user's choice: how much storage, how important the picture, what it will be used for.
To display on a large screen HDTV that is 1080p, the picture needs not be larger than 1920x1080. If the camera takes that shot, it need not be more than a 2.1 megapixel camera. With 1GB storage, you could store 337 in RAW mode, or 1350 in JPG 100% quality mode.
Where massive megapixel comes handy is in Zoom mode. You could take the 41mp camera and zoom in to the center of the screen, using just 10% of the pixels in the detector. That is a 10X digital zoom with no loss of detail on the HDTV display. Add in the 3X or higher optical zoom of most cameras, and you have a 30X magnification of the center of the picture with the same level of detail on the HDTV.

How can i make my tv image look better?

I have a Phillips 60 Inch DLP HDTV and i have regular cable and i connect it, and the image looks way to stretched and nasty looking, not very good image quality at all, do i have to buy some type of cable or anything special for this type of tv to make the image look better.

Regular cable will always look like crap on an HDTV because it has to stretch and scale an image from 480p to 720p or 1080p depending on your TV. In order to get the best quality, there are two things you need to do:
1. Upgrade to HDTV and watch HD stations.
2. Upgrade to digital cable and use HDMI or component cables. This will be much better than a coax or composite.
As far as your "stretched" issue, that's your aspect ratio. Your TV is probably a 16:9 aspect ratio. Regular cable is 4:3. Go into your menues and change the aspect ratio and everything will look better. You will have black bars on the sides though.
